TRAPPED
Children are supposed to be a blessing and bring joy and headache to the parents and all. That evey parent expects. However they are not supposed to be the reason one stays in a miserable relationship! A lot of people dont actually get that staying in a relationship that is not working is not only bad for them but also detrimental to the developing psyche of that child they think they are protecting! Imagine what a child learns from seeing one of their parent being abused by the other! If you love each other its all wonderful and blissful and thats good but when the love is gone just let it go! And the tendency of threatening to keep the child from one by the other partner is really getting old! Those of you who are threatened need to grow some balls and tell your parenting partner that no sane court would keep a willing parent away from their child! I really hate to see people suffering because of the burden they place on themselves with regards to their children when they really dont have to be suffering.

I know i am not exactly qualified to have these thoughts but you being horrible in life will definitely rub on your child, if thats yur im i feel sorry for the child if not its time for action!

WHAT IT SAYS ABOUT YOU?
I heard that my friends have a tendency of saying bad things about one another friend we have. Mostly its just them saying how she is a bitch and how she is like a food outlet that you might pass by while journeying somewhere.
This then made me question my friend's characters. How could they, being the self respecting people they claim to be and in most cases are then befriend such a person. And then also how could they not were they good friends sit her down and show her how her behaviour was tarnishing her image
instead of revealing in  her misery and making endless fun of her
In retrospect i know i have done this in my  youth but now the friends i keep, we tell each other everything even if we have to point out the bad traits that each of us have. Because thats after all the true definition of friendship.
What my other friends are doing however reflects badly on them as well because saying bad things about another person even if they are true especially in their absence says that you are an imposter for lack of a better word.
You can pretend to be a friend while attacking that friend behind their back and it just means you cant be trusted and that you are mean.
So the next time you want to point out something bad about a friend make sure they are around so that at least they can go and correct themselves, that way you have done good to the world

just realised something the harder you try to forget something or someone the longer it stay on your mind so i guess the best thing to do is just let it be!

BOUNDARIES
Now I have come to notice that Batswana especially men do not know the meaning of personal space nor do they respect the concept. Now I am not trying to be white or obnoxious or anything but damn it I dont like being touched just by random people. Its just not hygienic to begin with especially with men because we all know that very few of them actually do take time to wash hands after a visit to the toilet or in their case a nearby tree/wall. The damn people just can't say hi and let u be, they will reach their filthy hands out to you and be supprised and insulted when you pull away! All I am saying is mother fucker if I don't know you personally please get you greasy self away from me; the fact that you are a stranger just aggravates the irk of the situation! Also there is the trend of calling people Babe and using dog calling whistles and sounds  to try surmon girls! This is just irritating. First and foremost I ain't a dog and second I am not your babe and wouldn't be even if your life depended on it. Saying hi/ dumela won't take anything away from the greeting infact it would just show you respect me as a person.

So please brothers it ain't rocket science lets get our etiquette in order please!

Now i have had just about enough of this satanism propaganda. Whoever started this sensationalistic myth must be proud of themselves. I do wonder how though if this keeps up poeple will be able to live freely and happily because more and more things are making it into the red satanistic zone. From music, having the Rihannas being the worst offenders to hairstyles and make up. If i recall well, make up is quite an ancient form of  art and now that people are revolutionising it and it has become more dynamic its a satanistic act to put on some mascara; and quite f rankly goth has been here for much longer than satanism or at least it was more popular than satanism but now satanism is taking over!very soon every god damn thing will be satanistic. What is the world coming to? What worries me is that people are preaching this phenomenon to their children and i doubt if anyone even really has a real understanding of the concept. What i dont doubt though is that a lot of people will use it where it favours them most like most things today even the bibble.

I just realised something after my last relationship that, I loved the guy fine but the mistake I made after the breakup was hoping that what he did or rather how he reacted towards me would be the determining factor over how i got over him and when i could move on. Last night like Oprah says I had an AHA moment/ an epiphany! I realised I was the one holding myself back because I kept hoping that maybe I maybe........ I know all this sounds bizarre for my age but he taught me to love and I did a good job of learning. So the epiphany is that: I am the only person in charge of my feelings, it doesn't matter what the guy does or doesn't do. Its all up to me. I was too busy keeping my fate in his hands to realise this before but now that I have it has lifted a huge weight over my shoulder and I feel more empowered because I was bordering on being depressed by depending on someone else for my happiness.

So my advice is cry it all out then deal with the loss and move on to better things. Like TD Jakes says "LET IT GO"!

MARINA HOSPITAL
The state of affairs at this government hospital is worrying to say the least. Went there on friday to check on a friend who was at the emergency waiting for admittance. Just walking into the emergency area i was hit by such a pugnat stench that made me feel sick. Now can you imagine that, a place we are supposed to go to to get better but instead those of us who went feeling good leave feeling sick to the gut! I just wonder how the people who wait hours for admittance deal with the smell. Even the person who was supposed to be in the reception area had jumped ship, no wonder though because really it just smelled awful in that place. I think something should be done with regards to the sanitary state of the hospital maybe they might just have people leaving it sooner rather than later because i am pretty sure such unhealthy air is bound to add to ones dismal state of health.

GUYS AND THEIR WEIRD HABITS
Dont know if its just me but i have one particular thing that guys do that i dont really get because its been done by guys who mean different things to me. This thing of rubbing their thumb in the heart of girls palms whats it supposed to symbolise? I mean really guys if its supposed to say something not all of us are in tune with di sign and all that and quite frankly its irritating because first of all for hygienic reasons its not ayoba! and also beacuse it really makes me feel dirty tota. so please lets just stop boys its not a romantic thing.......just bad!

PUBLIC INDECENCY

There are but a few things that people do that really should be punishable by law and heavily so.Ofcourse this is just my opinion but you might just agree with me after reading my list. First and foremost what irks me to no end is how people can just pick at their noses in public; I dont just mean any minor picking, no I mean the kind where someone would just dig the finger right in there and then come back with a finger full of the mucus matter. Some people even do this while at ATM's and while using public resources which can only mean that a whole lot of people are going to put their hands on that machine or public transport door which is just gross. Another one is of public urination by men!Now this right here just goes to show how men just are inconsiderate; a lot of men dont have the decency to find a tree at least to hide behind, they will just unleash their penis's on us which arent a sight to behold. Also after doing this very job, without washing their hands they go about touching everything in their path that sometimes I wonder if they are doing it knowingly. Lastly I will mention a habit by women to wear light/ see through fabrics and then have the audacity to wear coloured underwear. Really ladies we dont want to see your panties however expensive they may be. Thats for you and your sweetty/sweetties in the bedroom.

CONFORMITY

I always say its not about what other people are doing but what I think is right for me. To my credit  I have held down this sentiment on most of the aspects of my life and I just realised recently that I have been beating down on myself over one thing. Relationships, I mean with the opposite sex or same sex depending on your tastes. For the record I am straight. Point is though that I really have been cruel to myself because I dont have a boyfriend and almost everyone my age is dating. I called myself a dormant fool who is going to get old and not have lived life to the fullest. But then I had an epiphany; I love fun and I have it each time I can but casual dating is just not my style and I should just learn to live with it because it is what makes me me! I must say I felt awfully bad because I had been judging myself based on other peoples lives and not my authentic self. So I guess the moral here is be you even if the mainstream disagrees/ does something totally different from you; Thats what makes each of us unique.

HONESTY

Honesty such a simple but yet unattainable thing!People lie about everything even the most unnecessary things such as the people they know, how much money they have(though i understand to some extent why some lie about this),where they stay etc. I think if people realised that this information does not really add anything to the lifes of the people they tell the lies to it would save them the trouble of having to lie which I for one must say i dont really care. I mean i respect peoplelike Gareth Cliff and Oprah who relatively show a measure of honesty in what they say and i must I respect a person who really can stick to their guns and not care what other people think of them.That shows courage and individuality which is a really attractive thing.So i say to you stop lying and dont deny yourself to live your authentic self because you only have one life to live best make the most of yourself.

BIG SISTERS

Before i say anything serious let me just say i admire the vocab used by our lovely big/fat sisters to describe  their size. Words like "voluptous", "a little meat on the bones" and "full figured" to mention a few.
Well most of those women who are big dont fall within the definition af any of the aforementioned words. Now understand that i am not being mean and i have no personal feeling agaisnt fat people but the reality is that being fat is very unhealthy;whether you taking medication or not. According to the Collins dictionary and thesarus voluptous means- sexually alluring because of full, shapely figure. Ok il allow the full part but most of you arent shapely and they look like a glass mayonnaise bottle put upside down which more politically correct people call a triangle shape.
So in the spirit of being honest with ourselves i suggest ladies you admit that you are unhealthy in yourr current state even if you are comfortable with the size. So either you make an effort to down size or you just call yourselves what you are fat!

LADIES AND THEIR PANTS

Ladies, ladies, ladies! The trends some of us are rocking these days are gross to say the least. The belted panties, yes I mean panties, the huge granny underwear on very youthful sisters who wear low cut jeans for that matter and the belted but ill fitting pants which really doesn’t matter because then the ass will still be very much making itself notice. Now these are just a few of the ailments that I found really irritating but they are not by any means the only social injustices we commit on the society. Now for how to address these problems:

1.       Please there are a lot of in fashion very nice bikinis and boy shots or even g-strings for those who find them favourable that can stay well within the limits of the pants or at least just wear a big t-shirt to cover up these indecencies please. Now these points address the first problems mentioned so please next time you visit the shops be sure to try out new underwear.

2.       As for the belted un-fitting pants, either give those away or just lose a few kilos so that the pants could fit well. The butt crack really is sickening, add to that the stretch marks which are an injustice to every woman and that makes a recipe for throwing up one’s guts. We have to at least admit to ourselves when we have added some fat to our skin than to impose ourselves on the society in such and un-just way that should just be made illegal.

I am hoping my dear sisters that you will use all this very important pointers and change your lives for the better and also really be much more environmentally friendly. Your sister in the fight for public decency.

working with what you have!

Everybody is different!We all know that but for some reason humans just tend to have the desire to be like somebody else and have angelina's mouth or jlo's hips.But what we really need to do is appreciate what our bodies look like in their natural state and just work on keeping it healthy and fit!By healthy here i dont mean not taking any prescribed medication as most "big" people like to allude is healthy. Being healthy i mean not being anywhere near being considered overweight where you can do any mild exercises like walking without actually feeling like you just had to run 10 laps. Being able to love your body and really protecting it and appreciating it is the key to  not gaining exercive weight because just like mothers ba tshwara thipa ka ha bogaleng" for their kids i am pretty sure if wewe treated our bodies the same way as if they were our kids we would not have any obesities.Lets all just strive to only nourish our bodies nothing more nothing less.

WAGE BILL CUTTING MEASURES BY GOVERNMENT-proposed solution/measure-last in first out)

Now i don't know who among our respected leaders proposed this but seriously this shows that it should be "first in first out". I mean how exactly do we expect to progress if we don't have young fresh and innovative people in the work places. The older workers with all due respect are past their sell by date as in some are in knee deep with all the technological advances that they aren't really resourceful in the work place. Anyhow some of them are nearing their retirement age and i don't really understand how in a country where we have the youth being the major constitutes of the unemployed pool anyone could suggest such  a preposterous motion and have anyone backing them up!its just downright ridiculous!a go jewe go sutelanwe please, this just goes to show how greedy some of our leaders are and how their thinking capacity is limited for lack of a better word to use.

BATSWANA RE LEMETSE

I have noticed something and maybe that is why we cannot really advance anywhere as a nation. We do not want to work for the fruits we enjoy or wish to enjoy. People just want to sit and watch manna fall from the sky straight onto their laps;well Batswana betsho i admit you may have been spoilt before by your government back in the days but we have got to face the reality that in order to spend money we have to make money and until people get off their laurels to make money they should not whine and say they are not being taken care of because the country can simply no longer afford go tika masogo ka madi. You young active people stop having babbies as if you making loaf of breads for the eating learn to put a sock on it and get to finding ways of empowering yourselves and making a life for yourselfs please. And those senior govenrment employees who are recycled around government posts please!people we need some young active and innovative people just retire to your farms and le enjoye pension eo ya lona e ntsintsi. The economy runs on a cycle lets when we have done our part move aside for other people to prove themselves too. Maybe something more then will become of our nation. the more of-course has to be positive.

VALENTINES DAY

People who are averse to this day always amuse me but i guess i kind of see where they are coming from what with the day being so commercialised but we have to understand that most of us are capitalists and where an opportunity arises for us to make money we grab it with both hands. but that is besides the point. ideally we all know that lovers should show their love everyday by showing appreciation to each other and just doing things for each other that make the other happy or makes their life easier. Unfortunatelly most people dont do that so and thats why i think we should appreciate this day ad celebrate it. for most people its the only day they get to feel the love!besides i would think it adds a lil bit of spice to those who will be expecting to get cosy with their lovers tonight. lets love each other people and show it more often but until we can all do that all through the year valentines day is here to push us all along. HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!!!!!!!!

i would like to officially acknowledge Brando the young Motswana who went and set up a radio station in the south Sudan. he made a name for himself and that is something to be very proud of.i just wish he would have run a bit longer with the opportunity maybe more would have opened up had he stayed in Sudan. but since is going back all the best. i am saying all this because we all know what a pain in the ass it is to make money in Botswana even just thinking about it gives a headache at least thats the experience i have had. just contemplating ways of making money in Botswana gives me a migraine. nevertheless those of us who can break through all the bureaucracy kudos to you all

relationships

 people stop getting into relationships with people who are committed to other people because it almost ends up with you as the casualty.there are exceptions to this but of course exceptions are always few. you tell yourself i am just going to have fun, next thing you know you are in love and the person you involved with won't leave your partner for you. its a hard not world for some of us i know but all i am saying is lets be strong and move on to people who will love us wholly. and don't fall into the trap of having occasional romancing with them.lose them forever or delegate them to friendship.i don't know why i am feeling so broody it may just be that V day is around the corner never the less live to be happy.

SHAME!

i have never seen such ill mannered children as the students who claim to represent me at the University of Botswana student council!they had the audacity to boooo an adult old enough to be their parent and refer to him as if he was their peer. where are we going Batswana children? they say they want supplementary exams and they feel entitled to have a BAR on campus. well first of all the reason why they fail is because they are at that bar and second of all when you come to school you dont come here for fun but to learn if you decide to neglect your studies you cannot be expecting anybody to take the blame. lets just stop acting like spoilt children becaause we are not and many of us know that the allowance afforded to us by government allows us to buy thigns which we would never had gotten had it been that our parents were sponsoring us. now lets not forget our humble begginings and just be ourself.lest we be mislead by students who got into the university with the minimum points because clearly they dont get what it takes. the adults they are disrespecting have made a life for themselves thats the difference they fail to recognise

living a lie

Now this is for all the sisters out there because i speak from a situation i observed from a cousin of mine. Lets stop paying too much attention to what other people are doing!not only does this waste our time also it takes the much needed attention we could be paying to our own issues. You know those girls who will always be theones to oust their friends about any bad incident they've had; from how their boyfriend abuses them to how they are a bitch!?well those girls experience the same things if not worse. and please people lets just dump the habit of lying because it really is addictive,some of us just even suck at lying and we think we get away with meanwhile the people lie to just watch us making fools out of ourselves.
